Bengal's Picture of "Frosted Cats Tails"
Tooblue Bengal's is introducing a "New Colour".
One of the first registered breeding programs to have the gorgeous "Blue Bengal" recognised as a new breed colour in Australia.
This breeding program is registered with Waratah National Cat Alliance the first National Cat Registering Body in Australia for Cat Shows. Tooblue Bengal Breeding Program
Objective The objective of the Tooblue Bengal Breeding Program will be, while keeping the distinctive markings and qualities of the Bengal Breed Standard, develop a NEW line of Bengal's in the colour of high-grade blue.
Method
I will be starting this program with a generation 2 blue spotted female, Silvertrace Blue Moon. Lunar has great qualities to start my blue breeding program. Lunar's lovely blue colour is a much darker PURER blue than I have seen before with very minimal tarnish, she has a very striking white tummy and wild type head with long body and legs. Each stud bred to Lunar will be of a different colour and pedigree, and the best kittens will be selected to breed on with. Any kittens not for breeding on with will be sold as pets. Generations 2 and 3 are classified in the new breed/colour category - both for registration purposes and for exhibiting at WNCA shows. The 4th generation is classified as full Bengal status and is exhibited in the normal classes against the brown and snow Bengals. The methods used in this breeding program are in accordance with the The International Cat Association (TICA) Registration Rules. This program is using the same methods currently used in the US with TICA Registered breeders to introduce the beautiful silver colour to the Bengal breed, using the Silver American Shorthairs (ASH), now a recognised colour in Australia and overseas.
* SBT stands for Stud Book Tradition = Full Bengal Status
