Wilderside is a small home cattery dedicated to breeding and showing exceptional quality Bengal Cats with affectionate outgoing personalities and leopard looks. My husband and I first discovered the Bengal Cat in 2005 when we saw a cat on the TV that looked like a leopard. That was it, we were hooked, they were so wild looking. We got our first bengal kitten in November 2005, Wildkatt Socrates (Socs) our brown spotted/rosetted boy and then in February and March our girl kittens Silvertrace Blue Moon (Lunar), blue spotted and Wildkatt Savannah (Savy), brown marble. Our kittens are raised with love inside our home, and are well socialised with our two growing daughters aged 9 and 15. Our main goals are:
We aspire to the The International Cat Associations (TICA) Bengal Breed Standard and breed for beauty, wild leopard type, striking coats with dramatic well defined spots and rosettes, marbling with horizontal flowing colours and patterns with distinct shapes, sharp contrast and clarity. Our breeding program will always breed for excellent temperament, strong constitution and pays strict attention to hygiene and health in our cattery. Wilderside Cattery is registered with Waratah National Cat Alliance (WNCA) - the first national cat registering organisation in Australia for showing.
